I’m Marta Puig-Samper, an international coach and career consultant in Barcelona, with over 10 years of experience supporting international professionals in their search for new opportunities in both local and global markets.
For 8 years, I developed my career as an expatriate in the United Kingdom in the Human Resources sector, an experience that allowed me to understand the challenges of global mobility and the international labor market.
When I returned to Spain, I decided to establish International Career Development (2011). My mission was to support senior professionals and executives in finding their next professional challenge through personalized career development programs. A support that was nourished by my own experience as an expatriate.
Over time, I realized that conventional consulting was not always able to bring about deep transformations that resonated with the true essence of each individual. Therefore, I opted to train as a professional and systemic coach and later expand my knowledge to health coach, to provide greater value and a more comprehensive view of the needs faced by my clients.
During these years I have collaborated with leading International Business and Technology Schools (GBS, BTS, TBS, UB, UPF, EAE) in accompanying international students to orient themselves in the national and international labor market.
I currently collaborate as a consultant, coach and trainer for NetExpat, an international consulting firm specialized in global mobility (coaching and advice for expatriates) from Barcelona. I also help researchers and academics in their professional development through Siris Academic, an international research-focused consultancy that provides organizational diagnosis and strategy services for academic and scientific institutions.
Earlier in my career, as an HR professional in the UK, I became a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) and, in 2018, I joined the Career Thought Leaders Consortium in the United States as an associate member.
A year later, in 2019 I registered as an associate professional with the Career Development Institute (CDI) in the UK and in 2020 I completed my postgraduate degree in Professional and Systemic Coaching at the Gestalt Institute of Barcelona(IG). Since 2022 I am a certified member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF-ACC). In addition, in 2024 I decided to specialize in Health Coaching with an advanced training in Health Coaching (Salutis Healthcare).
I hold a degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Barcelona, with prior studies in Law at the Pompeu Fabra University.
In the UK, I pursued a Master of Science in Human Resources Management and Development at the Global Development Institute (University of Manchester). My passion for international environments and multicultural contexts led me to choose an institution specializing in global development.
With a naturally curious mindset and a talent for identifying trends and potential, I thrive on creating innovative solutions to challenges and supporting individuals in their personal and professional growth. As a dedicated career, transition and health coach for professionals, I leverage my global expertise to empower each client to navigate change successfully, whether national or international.
Recognized for my trustworthiness, honesty, and pragmatic approach, I believe every client is unique and deserves personalized attention.
